With 60 years of musical experience and a passion for teaching, Madeline Gloss has been a staple at Melody Mart for over 30 years. A graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, Madeline brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her students.
Her journey with music began over 50 years ago, first playing the clarinet and later adding the alto saxophone. Madeline’s teaching career has been shaped by her love for music and a desire to share that passion with others. Her favorite aspect of teaching is helping students grow.
Madeline's teaching philosophy centers around adapting her teaching methods to fit each student’s learning style, always maintaining a supportive and loving atmosphere. Her motto, "Be a positive influence at all times," guides her approach to music education.
Madeline is also a member of the Chicago Heights Symphony, and she finds inspiration in artists like Benny Goodman.
Many of Madeline’s students return to share their successes, expressing gratitude for the impact she’s had on their lives. For her, there’s no greater reward than seeing students succeed and knowing she’s played a role in their musical journey.
